The built environment should be designed on a human scale proportional to population density in a way that promotes the health, safety, and enjoyment of life for all planetary citizens. Any human activity which may disrupt an existing ecosystem should be carefully considered and weighed against an objective necessity for survival or progress of the collective good of Humanity.
In densely populated areas this requires a redesign of our environments with policy and infrastructure changes that actively reduce private automobile ownership, low occupancy vehicle trips, and car storage on public property. Urban areas should provide safe, convenient and reliable transportation options that are equitable, accessible and available to everyone. In the places where people live we should allocate resources towards incentives, feats of human ingenuity, creativity and design that prioritize people and planet in transportation systems and infrastructure while heavily regulating, reallocating and in some areas eliminating the space provided for private automobile use and storage.
